There are now more choices than ever these days for those looking for materials used in packing, shipping, and storage tasks. Obviously, the main priority when shipping or storing items is the actual safety of the items inside. Timber crates are a great choice for those looking for a versatile shipping and storage container that is both cost effective and reliable, while also ensuring that your goods are safe. Listed below are just a few examples of why timber crates may be your best option.

Durable

Timber crates are constructed from high quality wood that enables them to withstand repeated use during day-to-day shipping activities, resulting in a high resistance to normal wear and tear. The wood is also moisture resistant. Timber crates are specifically designed to carry heavy and large loads, making them a superior choice to other storage and shipping products like cardboard boxes. These crates are also designed to distribute weight evenly, ensuring safe storage in an organized manner.

Stackable

Timber crates are designed to be stacked on top of each other, which allows for a convenient way to store a high amount of containers in a single space. This is perfect for shipping large loads with limited space available. With the strength and durability of timber crates, you can stack large amounts for long term storage without worrying about damaging the contents inside. The crate's rigid structure provides a way to ensure that its contents are left unmoved and intact.

Reusable

When you purchase a timber crate, you are purchasing something that is much more than just a one-time use product. Due to their high strength and durability, timber crates are able to be used repeatedly over a long length of time. For example, if you've obtained timber crates for a move, you can use them for storage afterwards. These crates also present numerous opportunities for do-it-yourself projects at home, such as custom-made headboards, shelves, and coffee tables. Using repurposed timber crates can be an excellent way to add an industrial look to your living or workspace.

As you can see, timber crates are an exceptional choice for most any storage or shipping situation. The crates come in numerous sizes and build options, including crates that have gaps between the boards so you can see what's inside, while also reducing overall weight. If you are planning a move, or are in need of convenient and reliable storage, consider using timber crates.

About Me
Industrial equipment supply chain learning curve

I have always worked in the supply chain department, but since moving to an industrial equipment supplier, I've been on a steep learning curve. We have so many pieces with multiple names or similar names, and I need to be able to work out which pieces can be substituted in an emergency and which pieces are not similar. It's been tricky for me to get my head around, so I started this blog to discuss some of the information I've picked up in this role, which might be useful for someone else just starting out in an industrial equipment supply role.
